At Racaria actually being active and involved in the community is an integral part of its corporate culture. It's for this reason that Racaria supports the following charities, groups, and programs which make Calgary the special community it is today:

Peanut Butter Classic
Visit Website

The Peanut Butter Classic is a ladies-only golf tournament for charity in Calgary. The annual event was founded by Heather Forsyth, Calgary Fish Creek MLA, six years ago and has raised well over $350,000 for organizations supporting women and children in crisis. Each golfer is required to bring a jar of peanut butter, which goes to the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. A great day of golfing, combined with lunch, dinner, prizes and a silent auction are the reasons why the event continues to grow in popularity. Joining Heather Forsyth on this year's executive committee include Alderman Diane Colley-Urquhart (Ward 13), Carol Dougall, Ann Logue, Dianne Cooper-Ponte, Susan Mauro, Franca Best, Meghan Melnyk, Silvana Saccomani, Shona Wilson, Evelyn Main and Jaime Fettig.

Kerby Centre

Our mission is to assist the older person to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. We are proud of the services and programs we offer and of the partnerships with donors, government, sister-agencies and colleagues. Kerby is indeed the largest multi-purposed agency in the province and I believe that with that announcement comes responsibility: to our older people, our colleagues, our funders and ourselves. We pride ourselves in being creative, truly thinking outside the box, and by looking for the positive to grow on and to learn from the challenges.
